Abstract: Water Reuse in Theory and in Abstract - a relatively new risk based framework for decentralized water reuse serves as the first significant step towards establishing water reuse within the water supply paradigm. In theory, we should recognize the value of water reuse for its multiple resource conservation, pollution elimination and economic benefits, but in practice we remain greatly inhibited by social norms that preserve the taboo nature of anything associated with wastewater. That is now about to change!

Bio: Mr. Clerico is a licensed Professional Engineer and entrepreneur and has designed, built and operated water and wastewater systems for 42 years. Natural Systems Utilities operates 200 decentralized non-potable water reuse systems. Previously he held executive roles with American Water as Technical Development Director and VP of Strategy and he recently served on the Water Reuse Foundation's expert panel which prepared the Risk Based Framework for Decentralized Non-potable Water Systems.
