Deputy Commissioner Mans will speak about current and upcoming activities in the NJDEP to protect New Jersey’s water. The DEP is dedicating current activities to protect safe, reliable and ample drinking water supplies, working towards waters that are swimmable and fishable, and creating standards and treatment that reflect the best available science. DEP recently released an update to the Stormwater Management rule, guidance on groundwater mounding assessment methods, and is anticipating the proposal of regulations to address PFAS in drinking water in 2019. These are a few of the highlights of ongoing efforts at the DEP to advance protections for New Jersey’s water.
