Climate Change and NJ Water Resource Impacts Webinar

by Nick Procopio Ph.D, GISP; NJDEP Div. of Science and Research

This will be a virtually held meeting, hosted by Kristen Kavanaugh, Deputy Executive Director of DRBC

May 5th, 2020

12:00pm - 1:00pm

In response to Executive Order 89, NJDEP is producing a report on the state of scientific research related to climate change in New Jersey. The first report of its kind in the state, NJDEP has collected research on trends and projections of how the climate is changing, and what effects are already visible, or anticipated, in the environment. It is one of many efforts across state agencies to better understand how climate change is impacting our natural and built environments. Nick Procopio is a Bureau Chief in the Division of Science and Research at NJDEP. He will share some of the findings from the report. His presentation will focus on the anticipated impacts of climate change related to water resources. He will also highlight other research initiatives within the Department to address data gaps that remain after the inaugural report.

Free to members and non-members
