Dr. Stephen J. Souza – Clean Waters Consulting, LLC

Dr. Stephen J. Souza is the owner of Clean Waters Consulting, LLC. He has over 35 years of project experience managing and restoring lakes, ponds, and reservoirs. Dr. Souza received his B.S. from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, his M.S. from Rutgers University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Souza is the Founder of Princeton Hydro, LLC and served as the company’s President until his recent retirement from Princeton Hydro in 2019. Dr. Souza has served as an instructor and course coordinator for the Rutgers NJAES Office of Continuing Professional Education for over 25 years. He is an Adjunct Professor at Temple University and also conducts professional continuing education courses at Montclair State University.

Lindsey Sigmund – New Jersey Future

Lindsey Sigmund manages the New Jersey Future Mainstreaming Green Infrastructure (MGI) program, working to move green stormwater infrastructure practices into common practice. Prior to joining New Jersey Future, she worked on environmental policies and long-range planning efforts as the Environmental Planner for the City of Jersey City. She is a certified professional planner and holds a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University.

Brian Friedlich, P.E. – One Water Consulting

Brian Friedlich has more than 15 years of expertise in the field of water resources engineering. His focus has been on stormwater management, watershed planning, wastewater treatment and collection system rehabilitation. He has led the design, permitting and construction administration for many large-scale infrastructure improvement projects throughout the region. He regularly gives presentations at conferences and continuing education courses on topics related to stormwater management, green infrastructure and permitting. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Tufts University and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of New Jersey.
