Come join us for our annual Water Leadership Forum. This year, Brooke Maslo from Rutgers will present on Creating Flood-Resilient Landscapes, a newly published Rutgers Primer
This meeting also serves as a forum for the past NJ-AWRA presidents to review and provide feedback on NJ-AWRA's activities.
Speaker Bio: Brooke Maslo, Ph.D., is the Specialist in Wildlife Ecology for the Rutgers Cooperative Extension and an Associate Professor in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resources. She has a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolution, with a professional background in biological resources engineering an ecological restoration. Dr. Maslo’s scientific research centers on understanding the evolutionary, behavioral, and physiological mechanisms underpinning the ability of wildlife populations to persist in the face of significant environmental change. Her work routinely combines quantitative, molecular, remote sensing, and field-based approaches to explore fundamental scientific questions. While her work contributes to basic scientific understanding, Dr. Maslo also actively translates research outcomes into practical, evidence-based directives to equip stakeholders with appropriate decision-support tools to advance conservation and sustainability objectives.
Brooke Maslo's talk qualifies for 1 NJ PE continuing education credit and 1 AICP CM continuing eduction credit.
