Speaker Bio:

Shandor Szalay

Stormwater Resilience National Practice Lead

Mr. Szalay is a nationally-recognized leader in helping agencies and communities design and implement large-scale climate adaptation, flood mitigation, stormwater management programs, with an emphasis on green infrastructure and nature-based solutions. Mr. Szalay has played a vital role in shaping some of the Nation’s most well-known and successful water management programs, including Philadelphia’s Green City Clean Water Program, NYC’s Green Infrastructure program, Prince George’s County Maryland Clean Water Partnership, and the DC Water Clean Rivers Program. Mr. Szalay’s experience includes policy analysis, program development, project management, concept design and feasibility studies, master planning, engineering design, hydrologic modeling, nature-based solutions, incentive and credit program development, construction management, maintenance and monitoring program development, and applied research.
